The Blissweaver Story

The Blissweaver Story

It all started back in 2018, when Blissweaver's founder, Morgan, returned to college to pursue her passion of interior design.  One day, while studying textiles, she discovered something in particular that piqued her interest: a textbook entry on silk's temperature regulating properties.

Silk is known for its luxurious feel, supreme moisture-wicking abilities, odor resistance, and anti-bacterial properties. Silk fiber, due to its special porous structure, where 38% of its volume is hollow, has the unique added ability to efficiently distribute heat and regulate body temperature.

Struck with an idea after thinking of her husband, who slept miserably hot every night, while she herself slept cold (often buried beneath a doubled-up down comforter when her husband vouched for just the sheet), she thought, "What if silk fiber could be used in a comforter as an all-natural sleep solution with both hot and cold sleepers in mind?"

This very question is what ultimately led to the prototyping and testing of our esteemed Mulberry Silk Comforter, which officially launched in Spring of 2021. It has proven to be an exceptional sleep solution and is loved and highly rated by many nation-wide.

Blissweaver is run and managed by Dalton and Morgan Litschewski (pronounced Li-ches-kee). Partners in business and life, these two met when they were 15 and share a deep love for nature and adventure.

As kids, they dreamed of moving out to the Pacific Northwest together to be fully immersed in their favorite natural environment. They made their dream a reality in 2015, and took the cross-country leap from their hometown of Annapolis, Maryland to Oregon.

If Dalton and Morgan aren't working, chances are they're hiking, biking, skiing, or exploring with friends. Dalton is a skilled cabinetmaker with a real knack for business, and Morgan has a diverse background in design and marketing. They currently reside in Parkdale, Oregon with their 13 year old teacup Maltese, Nikki Noodle.
